Be sure to swing through the 400 block this season to catch a concert. Nothing quite says summer like live music, great food, and the company of family and friends.  Utterly Interesting:

New dairy exhibit seeks to bring history to the public

Marathon County has announced the opening of its new exhibit, Milking Time: Evolution of the Dairy Industry in Marathon County on June 16th. It’s no secret that here in Marathon County, much of our reputation comes from our milk and cheese production. What might not be as well-known however, is how the dairy industry came to be the powerhouse that it is today. This exhibit looks to inform and educate people about the evolution of the industry through a series of planned activities and of course, some free samples. Check all the details of the exhibit out here.

Float on- Wausau’s user-friendly kayak opportunities

My Wausome storyWausau has become a mecca for outdoor sports, including its canoe and kayak facilities.  Enjoying the pristine views of the Wisconsin River from a kayak or canoe has never been easier with the designated launches and floating peers across the city. Now all open for the summer, the launch points make it easy for people of all ages and experience to enjoy a leisurely paddle down the river. Perfect for a scenic ride, island picnic, or impromptu swim to beat the heat, kayaking and canoeing is one of Wausau’s must do summer activities. Find out more about the launch points here.
