Concerts on the Square

Concerts are every Wednesday evening from June 7 to Aug. 30 on the 400 Block in Wausau. The concerts are free to attend. Concerts are free of charge with carry-ins allowed. Food trucks are also scheduled throughout the summer. In case of inclement weather, concerts will take place inside Whitewater Music Hall, 130 First St., Wausau with a limited capacity of up to 250 attendees. Visit here for more information.

The Hmong Wausau Festival is the largest Hmong festival in central Wisconsin.  The Festival is hosted by the Hmong American Center, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non profit and partnered with the Central Wisconsin Convention and Visitor Bureau.. Click here for details.

Summer Camp- Makin’ a Splash!


July 7 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Summer Camp in the Gardens offers children a unique outdoor experience. We offer a variety of themed, hands-on activities tailored to a specific age camper. We make sure the activities are developmentally appropriate, educationally relevant and, most importantly, fun! Campers at the Gardens will learn about relevant environmental subjects through hands-on activities, work with their peers, and spend time outdoors!  Read more on the website!

Honest J’s Bistro

Honest J’s Bistro is a Coffee shop with a bistro style grab ‘n’ go breakfast or lunch & dinner! Inside Washington Square, you can stop by  before work or for a quick lunch go-to! 7a-to-7p, 7 days a week! Their name comes from Wausau’s second mayor, Jacob Paff, serving one term in 1873. In summary, he was a good human that came here from a different country, built his own American Dream, and served Wausau & Marathon County (elected and non-elected seats) so well that after his passing he was referred to as “Honest Jake Paff,” hence Honest J’s.  Click here for more info, or call (715) 216-0813.
