This string orchestra day camp is open to string orchestra students in grade 6 – 12. Students will end the day with a free live concert open to the public at 3pm, at the Wausau West High School Auditorium. Register by March 1st to be part of this amazing opportunity. This program is presented in partnership with Rock-Infused Orchestra, Wausau Conservatory of Music, Wausau School District and DC Everest School District. Go here for more information

 
 

WBTT Boat Draw

The Boat draw will be the same as in the past. It will be at Cruisin’ 1724 in Wausau on Saturday, April 9, 2022. One member of each team (or someone that the team designates) must be present to draw boat the team’s boat number for each event.. Read more here

Slow Art Day


SATURDAY, APRIL 2, 2022 AT 12 PM – 2 PM.  
Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum of Wausau
Join a worldwide art appreciation event designed to encourage taking time to view and reflect upon the artwork. Visit the galleries and linger with a few artworks of your choosing, Noon-1 pm, and then share your observations with others during a discussion with Museum volunteers.
 

Hands-on Plants: Spring Planter

Let’s bring Spring indoors with a spring-blooming planter! We will be discussing what plants are hardy for outdoor Spring containers and using these tips to design an indoor planter that can eventually go outside. Our dish gardens will refresh your home for spring with ornamental kale, primroses, pansies, forced bulbs and more! First Class: Youth Painting with Olivia Majernik

 

Reoccurring Dates: Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm, April 5, 12, 19, 26 & May 3, 2022 –

CENTER FOR THE VISUAL ARTS. Great for ages 6-12. Join us for Youth Painting in the Classroom Studio! This five-week course offers instruction on the techniques needed to work with a variety of mediums. Each class of will focus on different material and theme, all designed to foster language and listening, increase fine motor skills, and encourage creative problem-solving. Art appreciation, vocabulary and an introduction to color theory will also be taught throughout this multi-level course!  Read more here
